Beginning in 1968 and continuing into the 1970s, Rodney Alcala stalked California and New York, raping, torturing, and murdering young women and girls. He hardly looked like a monster. Alcala was handsome, charming, a photographer, an NYU film student, and even a winning contestant on The Dating Game. In 2010, he was convicted of five murders in California. Three years later, he pleaded guilty to two more in New York. Yet investigators have long suspected there were other victims, some possibly hidden among the thousands of photographs found in his possession. In this expanded second edition of The Killing Game, bestselling true crime author Alan R. Warren takes a deeper look at Alcala's crimes, the investigations and trials, and the disturbing questions that remain unanswered.
